I vote: Only 1 ghost per user. Otherwise, someone could take #1 spot and then #2 spot and essentially keep challenging them self over and over to stay locked in combat forever. This prevents #3 for ever having a chance to challenge up and would be utterly unfair.
For Challenging: It's always been okay to challenge 2 spots from your rank (as all other ladders do). The only difference is in the gvg ladder, we added a rule that upon reaching top 3, #3 must beat #2 first in order to get to #1
For my new swordback hold shield build, I understand that it is utterly unfair. With a build like this, I can essentially clip ww you once + run around until you bleed to death, then finish you off. You can't out trade someone who has almost 100% OW and can block you at a 75% rate and can just run away spamming mb while you're gushing blood. The more aggressive you are, the more mistakes you make and are likely to get cliped again. Rinse and repeat.
The only way to hold your own vs this build would be to also switch to using a shield. I wanted to prove to myself and others that my new build was a success in actual game play, not just in theory. And if it was indeed true, that would mean the end to gvg (you would be forced to use a claw/shield build to stay relevant) and I can drop off the ladder with a peace of mind. BTW, I tested it against corey, he had 0 chance against it; couldnt even get me past 50% life in our "test duels." But we agreed, he wasn't supposed to tell anyone about it until I went public and broke gvg as we know it. Sigh.
Stats:
95% OW
65% fcr
48% fhr
4300 life
75% Block
50% DR
4000-5000 on screen ww damage
4900 Defense
11000 AR
btw oni i never mentioned your build to anyone, just told mike i dueled against your new set-up and he already knew what you were doing lol ^^
but yes i stood 0 chance vs it was fun to try though
