I vote: Only 1 ghost per user. Otherwise, someone could take #1 spot and then #2 spot and essentially keep challenging them self over and over to stay locked in combat forever. This prevents #3 for ever having a chance to challenge up and would be utterly unfair.

For Challenging: It's always been okay to challenge 2 spots from your rank (as all other ladders do). The only difference is in the gvg ladder, we added a rule that upon reaching top 3, #3 must beat #2 first in order to get to #1

For my new swordback hold shield build, I understand that it is utterly unfair. With a build like this, I can essentially clip ww you once + run around until you bleed to death, then finish you off. You can't out trade someone who has almost 100% OW and can block you at a 75% rate and can just run away spamming mb while you're gushing blood. The more aggressive you are, the more mistakes you make and are likely to get cliped again. Rinse and repeat.

The only way to hold your own vs this build would be to also switch to using a shield. I wanted to prove to myself and others that my new build was a success in actual game play, not just in theory. And if it was indeed true, that would mean the end to gvg (you would be forced to use a claw/shield build to stay relevant) and I can drop off the ladder with a peace of mind. BTW, I tested it against corey, he had 0 chance against it; couldnt even get me past 50% life in our "test duels." But we agreed, he wasn't supposed to tell anyone about it until I went public and broke gvg as we know it. Sigh.

Stats:
95% OW
65% fcr
48% fhr
4300 life
75% Block
50% DR
4000-5000 on screen ww damage
4900 Defense
11000 AR

I like that you changed it to 65 FCR instead of 48.
Personally, I don't see why using Shield is any different than using 2 claws from a mechanical requirement perspective. It's less WW damage and more block which means more windows to make use of proper MBing.

Don't see how everyone goes 48 FCR and glorified BvB then say no to Shields. Claws can definitely still compete with SBH.

tbh, I got tired of everyone switching from 65fcr to to 42fcr (cruels/ow belt/highlords/gores build). I felt that playing with anything less than 65 is as you say, glorified bvb. If you wanna do that, I can take it to another level and throw on a shield - putting an end to it all. A proper ghost should be played at 65fcr or more imo.

Well, the truth of the matter is that nowadays, not enough people are mechanically proficient enough to utilize a ghost at 65fcr (in gvg) so using 42 is just easier. If one cannot play 65fcr efficiently, they wouldn't be able to stand against the way I intend to use the shield build.

You are clearly a gvg pioneer. Thank you.

Only a few sins use 48 fcr and the ones thay do usually rotate between playing with 48 and 65. I used to solely use 102 fcr for gvg until I started negotiating trades for my valk. Everyone has their preference. Everyone is not using 48 fcr so I don't understand where this gloried bvb comment is coming from. GvG is nothing like BvB.

Oni dont want to fight Zora that's fine but don't agree with these bvb statements when you used to be the most noted defender for the difference between bvb and gvg

I hated the comparison and i stayed true to 65fcr to prove that point. In the past, I've been able to defend my point with a 65fcr ghost while others used 42fcr out of sheer skill and out play. But recently, I've come to realize that when people train and get better (and i stop playing an get rusty), that the difference become transparent. In my most recent duel with zora, we both lagged to hell, I was unable to use 65fcr to the fullest and was essentially forced to trade ww with zora (who used cruels + 42fcr). Obviously, when it comes to ww trading back and forth, I lose on a 65fcr fools build. So I thought hard about it and wanted to stay true to my roots of 65fcr - in so, I devised this shield build.

I can't :/ I've moved in with my gf now and the location of our place.... Even if I buy a good internet plan (which I do), still sucks donkey dick hahaa.

The lag and spikes make it impossible to out play people and so those days of my using 65fcr ghost at its fullest, is essentially over.
