I’m talking about the first situation with Estim where Jake did nothing wrong at all, but Tonice failed to mention any of the mitigating facts like:

Jake was sold items by hacker who had posed as Elden on Elden’s GD account. Jake had no way of knowing anything was amiss til he was informed later.

Jake offered the eat the cost and return the items to Estim. Estim declined.

And yes, with the second situation as well. I’m not saying Jake getting a refund absolves him completely, but failing to mention that he returned the item seems like a pretty fucking large oversight if you’re trying to present a fair view.

So yeah man I think “half the facts” seems about fucking right

I saw those same items posted in jakees thread on gd and immediately thought "I wonder if those are stolen?" If I was buying them I would have asked for a history on them. With a trove of zon items just hitting the market if njaguar himself posted top tier java gear ft id ask for history.

That being said, I specifically stood up for Jakee back then to and said that he owned his mistake and even though more could have been done to stop it from happening it was just a mistake. Ill find the discord logs if you like.

That doesnt change what he did afterwords tho. Facts:

1.) He knew it was stolen
2.) Knowing this he bought it.
3.) He only regretted the purchase because other people had a problem with it.

Making a mistake previously and then doing the right thing does not make it ok to then later commit the offense. You cant buy a stolen car, realize its stolen and hand it over to police and then it be okay to go steal a car...

He still tried to sell the items at a full price without saying they were stolen tho... shady af lol

Yeah for sure, I bought a stolen car from a guy last week for dirt cheap, when I got pulled over for speeding the cop ran the plates and found this out but when I said I was sorry and offered to give the car back IF I WAS REFUNDED he let me go and thus I'm a free man today

I feel that stolen items should be banned but the user should not be. Gear checks during matches should be implemented to keep track of this issue. Choosing to duel with said user or others in pn is up to each individual.

who's to say after said gear check the said user doesnt swap rq

Med's/ ugml mods such as yourself should sit in during battle. That's how the Japs played melee back then
