Just want to 2nd what Jakee said.

He bought the axe to use in casual duels and never attempted (or planned) to use it in tournament or ladder play. He never attempted to mislead anyone by claiming it was legit for resale or any other purposes. It seems clear to me he didn't intend any wrongdoing. Why else would he have said to Adam "Diablo dropped it"? He was obviously not trying to obscure the sketchy origins of the axe.

Once Tonice/Hengster raised the alarm, B0ba and I talked to Jakee and Jakee immediately volunteered to pursue a refund from Yakkus, which Yakkus graciously agreed to. Jakee no longer has the axe. He wasn't trying to do anything fucked up, and once it was pointed out that it's still BM to buy hot gear, even if for casual use, he made it right.

Tonice - I know you're trying to protect the integry of melee and all but this all feels very personal and biased against Jakee. You post makes it sound like Jakee is a "repeat offender" - but:

1) With Estim's gear it was a totally different situation and once he discovered they were stolen and sold fraudulently on the other site, Jakee offered to eat the cost and return the items to Estim.
2) Your post neglects to mention the measures Jakee took to make it right with Blood Cleaver - i.e. returning the axe

I get that it's easy to be skeptical and say Jakee only returned the item cause he got caught, but keep in mind that he made no real effort to hide what he was doing. Seems clear to me he didn't understand or intend any wrongdoing, and once it was called out to him, he got rid of the axe.

No one buys a high grade weapon to just use for fun. It sounds like he had intent to use it secretly but was caught red handed. Hence him trying to back track afterwards. If he wanted to return it....why the fuck even buy it in the first place??

You can PM hengster on discord right now and ask him if I was caught red handed. I most definitely was not. I Had a long conversation to him about the axe , there was not a single time I used a stolen weapon when I was dueling in a tournament. I had the item for literally 16 hours. After I found out that everyone goes bat shit crazy about it I returned it. I’m not saying I’m innocent , because I’m not lying about anything here. So why keep pressing the issue? I’m not playing the victim here , I haven’t said shit. I’m being attacked.

I understand your skepticism, but anyone who knows Jakee knows that he is willing to pay up for items, lol. It would not be out of character for him to buy something at that price point just for fun.

And if he had intent to use it secretly, why did he send a screenshot to Hengster? Adam is a trusted tag user and a well known figure in melee. Hengster would naturally inquire about the origin of the axe - there are supposedly only 2 or 3 blood cleavers on East.

If you were sporting stolen gear and intending to keep it a secret, sending a screenshot to Hengster is virtually the last thing one would want to do.

It’s clear Jake just planned to have fun with it, which is why when shit blew up, he was like “woah didn’t expect this blowback, my bad, I’ll return the axe”

I know stolen items are a sensitive issue especially these days, but the fact pattern doesn’t fit Jake intentionally being BM at all.

LOL? You knew the item was stolen. You've commented in the past knowing it was stolen. Adam asked where it came from. You said Diablo because you knew it was stolen and you didn't want to tell the truth. Or else you were playing dumb and acting like you didnt know it was stolen, when you clearly did. Still doesn't answer the question: If you knew it was stolen, why even buy it in the first place if you were just going to get a refund? It doesn't add up.

i stopped reading after the first line. Also if anyone knows Jake its that he buys stuff just to re sell things almost within a week. And its not clear to me or anyone that he 'just wanted to have fun with it' If thats the case why return it for a refund?

ALSO Jake you weren't kicked out of TM for being gay. That's a assumption that is wrong

You obviously have no clue about anything behind the scenes. Just listening to everyone’s opinion and reading 1 sentence from a screenshot.

I'm reading all of the screenshots. It still makes zero sense to even get a stolen weapon just to get a refund on it.

And this is the second time now?

I want to hear your side plz

The first time was a mistake, items were sold to me by a hacker who claimed the account of someone on d2gd

I just wanted to use an item for fun , I told hengster if de logged in today I would’ve given him the axe no issue. I returned that axe after everyone blowing up. Problem has already been solved so now what else do you want me to say?

So you still knowingly bought a stolen item....?

and the first time you didn't think buying a gfg item from some rand was raising a red flag?

That’s the point - he bought the first items from someone who stole Elden’s account on the other site. It wasn’t until after the trade he learned the items were stolen or that he had in fact not bought from Elden, but a hacker posing as Elden

It was Elden on GD , he’s known for having zon items? Seemed pretty legit to me when I talked to him. He said he was holding onto some items he wanted to get rid of. I already sent Bit all the screenshots.

Why the fuck does it matter if a stolen item was bought or not? If I’m not planning to use it in anything related to your tournaments then what is the big deal. And I reluctantly returned the item anyway , you do know I am in a melee guild and we duel all the time I’m not always in PN. Almost every item you see today has been stolen at some point or another. Whether or not you or tonice or anyone wants to suck up your ego and be honest that’s on you. But it’s very clear to me that you guys just love to shit on anyone who is not in your guild. Melee is a small community already. Stop trying to destroy what’s left of it.
