We're all also adults with lives and jobs, I think we need to re-evaluate the dodge rules to allow for more leniency as long as they are truly trying to get the duel done.

I think so as well. I haven't completed a lot of my duels because I've been fairly busy here lately. Perhaps instead of 2 days we should make it 4 or 5 days.

i think its already pretty lenient. We dont want to make it easy to dodge / stretch out duels in order to keep an active ladder. Cant say i disagree with the dodge... technically....i guesss.... BUt i dont believe he should have lost the #1 spot without actually dueling. You say Dodge = DQ your position? It shouldnt for the top 3, jsut like Cody said.

Well what I think Tj is trying to say is that a lot of us on this ladder are fairly busy a lot of the time. So if you get challenged on a Monday but can't duel until Friday than your kind of sol with the way the rules are right now. If the two people who are in a challenge establish a set time and day to complete their duel then we should allow more time for them to duel by that said time. If one shows and the other doesn't then dodge rule implied.

Edit: and since Bren didn't want to win by dodge and Jason didn't want to lose by dodge we can change the ranks back and allow another couple of days for you guys to complete the challenge if you want.

bren is around for all of tonight and all of tomorrow, as they are the typical PN days that he is usually on all night

they can certainly get it done tonight or tmw night

I like the idea that the top three ranks cannot be ruled dodge unless a player does not meet at the specific time and date agreed upon. Afterwards, the dodge would be applied and rank lost. As far as getting a dodge symbol *, I think they should only lose their rank, not the possibility of being booted from the ladder.

In fact, the whole idea of being booted should be debated since the ladder is not as active as it once was in the past. I think if they get a dodge symbol *, players should be allowed to challenge "above" them while their own rank falls every 3 days due to inactivity.

doesnt being charged with a dodge twice mean starting from the bottom? not necessarily "booted from ladder". i wouldnt mind it with some of the gears the tops zealers use

Here is my two sense. For starters I did not pm cody because I was at work. I had auto extended this for you 2 and said that at midnight it would be dodge. that was yesterday. We will not be changing the time frame. It is your responsibility to pm cody and myself to make us known of a situation that dictates time. Obviously we do not want to see you loose top 3 due to schedule not working out. At the same time, this is a ladder, and if you do not have the time to complete the challanges then please remove yourself. I did not get a pm from bren or jay. and I auto extended this for you.


There will continue to be 2 days to complete challanges. We give you 2 days from the day after your post to give the other person time to see it, and to find a time. Extension is there if you need time. If it is a schedule conflict. get a guranteed time from the person and pm this to me and cody. we will work with you, but if you dont take the initiative then its on you. The rules are there, and we will be dodge ruling for top 3. there are no special privileges for top 3, not how a ladder works. If you cant keep a time schedule then you will get put on the bottom like anyone else. there will be no change back of ranks. Keep the ladder moving.
