let's also implement a rule where no drinking is allowed since reflex couldn't consent to that ass whopping he got last night

At the time of the match it was less than 24 hours since you challenged me. No one was holding up anything.. it’s typical for challenges to linger for days.

You and Riz had your challenge on the 29th, it was not until may 5th almost a week later doing your challenge. Im not saying that was bad it just goes to show the norm of this ladder regarding time frames of challenges.

I don’t feel like dueling for fun when the other admittedly not interested in doing the match is bad or wrong. Especially if in the allowed time frame . We have been friends since the launch of DR2. Dueling you for fun is something we have been doing for years now.

Again im not trying to hold the #1 position . Im happy to see you win, its not like this would be the first time either. To me it’s just the way your trying to get it is not right.

I do agree on making this ladder shorter on the time allowed to do challenges to make this ladder more interesting.

So does this mean my challenge not valid, I call loser then  but please just duel get this challenge out of the way. No more drama 🤝

Also to help prevent this from being a problem in the future, all ladder matches should be done in a private game outside of sinpk (unless both agree), no respecs in between duels + both sides agree 'this is our ladder match' to avoid any misunderstanding, and implement a rule like the below which can be found in other 1v1 ladders. This will help move ladder matches along and weed out inactives. ^TheBroodwich has been mvp in updating these scores (HUGE THANK YOU) and allowing very relaxed grace periods for matches to occur, feel free to tweak this as you see fit:

”NEW NULL” / DODGE RULE - Explained

After a challenge has been posted, it will stay open for 3 days. If the recipient does not accept the challenge, or the match does not take place within 3 days of the initial post, the challenger will automatically win the match due to the "dodge rule".

For example:

1. If #13 challenges #10
and #10 dodges - #13 will replace their spot on the ladder and #10 will get a null/dodge strike and move down to #13

2. If #13 challenges #10
and #13 dodges - no changes in rank will occur and #13 will get a null/dodge strike

3x nulled /strike marks - you automatically get sent to the bottom of the bracket

Another 3x will lead to termination from the ladder for 1 month

its a good rule for big all class ladders, but this one never seemed to have a problem with it up till this one match.
the reason im more relaxed on it is because most of us are grown with adult lives and cant always meet up, this is why i simply null duels with no updates about if anyones been avoiding the duel.
also i try and keep an eye on whos active and remove them if they are not around to duel for longer periods, been working good so far without a null/dodge count.

as for this current problem.. idk, maybe put alpha as #1 and reflex in a challenge with him. this way alpha can defend his win so to speak, then rizal in a challenge with the loser no matter the outcome. during this time rizal cannot be challenged.

has agreed to this, and it seems the most fair to the top 3 involved. As long as and are ok with this ill do the update.

would feel lame to win via dodge and wasn't something i really wanted to implement

it took us almost a week to complete our duel lol wouldn't say you were dodging, just both busy irl so sometimes tough to meetup

if 2 people that have an active challenge and are in the same game and begin dueling, wouldn't you say its a match?

Totally agree about winning via dodge is lame but if both sides can't meet up within reasonable time frame due to irl circumstances just null it to allow others to challenge or give dodge to other person. However, onus is on challenger to provide evidence he tried to meet up but no efforts made on other party to meet. Perhaps have it also that someone can 'reset' dodge counts by doing e.g. 2 ladder matches in a row within alloted timeframe.

Also can't say for certain, I think if it were a ladder match this should have been made known from the start with both in same understanding/mind to duel competitively AND tracking of scores explicitly would typically dictate official match. Fun duels nn to track scores of course, all for fun!

Ye unfortunate norm we established for challenges to linger :( which is why shorter windows allows for more incentive to duel it out asap and get this ladder rolling. You guys are friends, just get it done again no harm done I retract my challenge until you 2 can meet up

Settle it in the moor

This.

Also, definitely can’t have a “no drinking” rule, half my matches are a couple beers deep.

Hey man, always more fun buzzed or even drunk!

Also, we are all adults with real life shit, no need for drama

I know it’s competitive since we all buy/trade sin gear but it’s still just for fun
