im not hating on you specifically, just reflecting on the fact that somehow at the same time 12 people all got too busy irl for a tourney they signed up for lol.

i had a baby mid tourney, so i didnt sign up. maybe everyone got so abruptly busy they couldnt forsee it, just seems like people lost interest and afk'd overall. maybe chat bug related


nn conversation sake, i dont think psn zon would/should be allowed next time. just cs zon, it clearly did well enough. but in reality there was 1 psn zon who completed 1 duel. so not exactly tested.



for real conversation sake, if ted played my dc sin he'd have won the tourney.

Im fine with insight only, i use it 99% of the time over telestaff

i was under the impression that a bunch of the ppl who didnt complete many if any at all duels were still on from time to time tho, i was literally not on. not to mention had i randomly found out partway through the tourney that i had enough time id have dropped neways because i had no desire to use the char i got signed up with.

i personally feel that the reason the event became what it became, is because of what it was to begin with. from the moment it won the vote to be the next tourney i saw this happening. i feel b-tier is the best to have events like this, because its still just for fun but there isnt so many limitations that ppl dont want to even try and do it. hence i voted for 18s personally. but still had it been 18s this time around id have been just as inactive. my life is only just now becoming slow enough i can post sometimes on jsp and log into game and play a few hours.

We already did b tier tho

anyways rules discussions should always be:

Person A "i want to make this, with this this and this on it. skilled like this"

People B, C, and D say their piece

Tourney host makes a call. preferably with B C and D in the tourney as well.


instead we get 10 page hypotheticals where it just sounds like people trying to find or close loopholes that might not even apply given what people enter as.

exactly we already did one and it went very smoothly and was super fun and many people said they'd be down for another one. just because we already had one doesn't mean you just ignore the possibility of doing it again, especially since it went so well. also keep in mind there was problems in the b-tier event with the bye rules being crazy i got byed by 7 or 8 fricken ppl and even tho i had the 2nd most points per duel i didnt even place because of how many ppl dodged me. so it actually makes sense to do another btier event with a better rule structure. there were even ppl who missed the signup that expressed interest in doing a b-tier tourney because it looked like a lot of fun and they didnt get to be involved last time.

i feel like many of the ppl who enjoyed the b-tier tourney signed up for this event just based off the success of the last one then when they realized just how bad it was they lost interest. there were like no holes in the btier event when it came to character rules but a ton in this one. keep in mind i was part of the rule discussion for the b-tier event aswell and i didn't have nearly as many holes to poke in that because it made sense. this event we had psn zons allowed pallys allowed to charge necros allowed to tele but druid couldnt even without a shield etc. my literal only issue with the b-tier event was that crossbow zon was allowed when there was literally only 1 viable one built on east and depending on the pilot it plays nearly as well as a regular bow zon which wasn't even allowed. other than that everything was perfect. so why not build upon the b-tier event that did so well, fix what little issues it had and run another one? rather than trying this which was a shit show from the start lol.
