Some many cool char types in LLD. Not sure what I would play if I ever made one. Can you pretty much come up with any build and make it effective?

No, but there are a few that with time and items you can make work decent. But generally starting out you wanna stick to the guides.

Start with fb sorc

Easiest to make/use

Then add from there

I'd argue a spammerdin is easier.

Fb and hdin are basically the same thing and have almost identical m/u’s in their favor...

But you get more rand kills from invis hammers in tvts.
