Im wondering if there is any meele lld assassin build that can compete with high end meele paladins or barbarians?
Anyone tried for example kicker or dclaw with eth/rep 100+ed ornate, grim shield helm etc?
Does it even make sense ? I would really like to see assa kicking and won vs whirling barb or charge zealers

The short answer: No

Assassins would need an uninterruptable attack to compete on a level playing field with other melee classes. Stacking DR and crushing blow just doesnt quite get you there.

Dclaw is very strong vs casters though if you have the gear for it.

Damn thats sad, thought maybe there is such a build.
I know its strong vs casters, had hybrid kick/trap few months ago and i was winning most duels vs casters but loose all vs barbs.

Another reason on my list to hate paladins and barbarians

the only credible way of doing it would be to let melee assassins go over the level bracket, or reduce the other classes % block. but even then, the assassin to my mind would not be favoured.
