1998 Eagle Talon Awd Tsi
its such a fun car and usually Dsms get a bad rep for being unreliable, however,
ive owned this car when it was just a wrecked awd shell and i rebuild every nut/bolt/stud in this car from the ground up from spare parts, and it has never broken down.
People talk about crankwalk when they hear dsms, however, if you build the car right youll have no problems.
also might be getting a Svt Cobra this new year and rebuilding it from the ground up

Currently replacing the engine with a Holset and upgrading fuel and installing 272/272 Bc cams and eagle rods and stock bore Wiseco pistons,
Aiming for about 500hp on 93, and low 11s!

i love dsms and if you have one id love to hear about it.

updated a photo of the new setup in the car! planning on breaking in the bearings with 680s and then slapping on the 1200cc pte's and slowly putting e85, in 1:3 ratio the 1:2 and then as follows.

Lol I'm missing the joke but, that blue coupler is a 2.5inch and it's so tight onto the throttle elbow.

The car is finally broken in and boosting 30-35ish lbs,
Definitely has a 11second 1/4 in it, I'm taking it to the track this Friday hopefully, I'll upload the video if i do go,
All in all, I love this car and plan on painting it and getting all the leaks sorted out.

because the blue couplers look ugly as fuck with his blue motor and he hates them. also i cant believe that thread is over 2 years old. seems like yesterday andy started posting pics of shaving that manifold

Intercooler piping work has begun. Getting fitment right, easy access, and I still need to weld a couple bungs to the section just before the intake. One for the blow off valve, the other for a GM IAT sensor.

Also, I'm planning on going with black couplers, I HATE the blue, and will eventually powder coat the piping crinkle black as well.

But for right now, until I get the car moving under its own power once more, they can wait. But just so you know the final idea.

I also need to shorten the piping between the intercooler and the radiator support, the gap is way too big. I'm waiting for my radiator to arrive before I do the final fit.

Fun work!

This. Nobody pays more attention to detail on this sub-forum than Andy.

Then again, none of us can beat a rock at a patience contest either... Andy however, can and does in his spare time.
