You neighbors to my north should be banned from having corvettes. Besides a little bit of road grime mine looks like brand new underneath.

and i tough my car was clean under, all other cars around here a covered in oil to prevent rust so they collect shitload of debris and dirt. on the plus side, got my exhaust welded up and my rear tires on my rims so il be putting all that back on the car tomorow.

well guys i gave up on my rsx ... every other week i have a new issue and im really sick of it. I spent about 3k in repairs since ive had it (2.5years). I have some wierd ass issue right now where whenever i clutch in at idle my car almost die and my clutch pedal shakes like crazy and makes some wierd ass noise. No time to deal with this bullshit anymore where whenever i use my car i never know if ima make it to my destination safely. I went to a used car dealership where i bought my 1st car and where my brother also bought his 1st car and ended up getting a 2012 civic si with 59k kms. Ya its a civic but i know for a fact that I wont be getting any problems anytime soon. Also came with an extra 60k kms or 3 years honda warranty

got my new shoes on, also got my windheild changed earlyer this afternoon, the guy changing it was fucking pissed, the windshield had previously been changed and who ever did it put urethane on all the window trims that go over the doors and put more over the door seal, everything was stuck. he still manage to pull out all the trims without breaking them. guy earned his money.
the exhaust was welded back together and is fully functional. waiting on the windshield to fully set then il try to push/test the tires.

315s vs oe 295s

^^ long bolts suck, like rear shock bolts - or your caliper bolts. Even with heat, the ends are far enough apart that you usually just shear the heads off - slide the part off - then heat the threaded part of the bolt and extract that. Oxy acetylene is a must for anyone in the rust belt. Map gas or propane...pshh...you might as well be using a lighter.

Since my 280zx build thread is closed. Here's the update to the garbage car.

So it's been over a year since the last update. The car died whilst on the way to work, right after a spirited pull. I pulled the car home, and almost immediately afterwards I fell into my E30 sedan....so the budget car sat....

...and sat....until today.

I decided I was finished with mowing around the static 280zx sitting in the yard. It was time to do something about it - Either get it running, or part it out.

I checked for spark, and got nothing. So I checked for voltage, had it. Checked the CAS signal, had it. So that prompted me to pop the cap off the distributor to inspect the rotor.

I discovered that the bolt that secured the rotor to the oil pump/distributor driveshaft had backed out (during my high rpm pull) and caused the rotor to stop spinning as it should, in time, with the motor.

Eureka! A dab of Loctite, and three minutes later... (click the link for the flickr phone video)

Brakes feel like trash, so I'll give those a once over. Hopefully just need a rebleed.

Otherwise it lives on!

It's bad when your phone auto corrects L anything to LS.
