I guess you have a point... I've always been taught by the fam that American cars are no bueno.

Japanese for Beaters, German once you have a job, and Italian if you're fancy.

To be completely honest and not brand loyal. Every car today is capable of the 200k mile standard we put on cars *IF* maintained properly.

I'm a mopar / cummins fan to the core but i've had my hands on a fair share of other things and I agree with the above statement completely. (With vehicles we have access to in the US)

Everyone is biased for some reason or another. Family origin is just another region. American cars are not what they were 15 or 20 years ago. I have nothing against import cars for DD's but then again i've never had an issue keeping a domestic on the road past 200k. They are easy to work on unlike the German cars on your list.
