Yeah the Detroits are fugly! Used them for like... 7+ years I think VW did. The 13s got em with these Laguna wheels as they call them. Personally I love them so much I may just keep them and save money on new wheels. I plan to powder coat them matte black as I plan to a white/black theme.
De-badge the GTI from back (chrome) replace front and back VW chrome emblems with matte black ones, debadge front grill of the chrome GTI there. Also go 5% Tint again as I did last car, and have all back lights professionally tinted then to finish it off get the front side markers replaced by smoked ones. I've seen a white 4door like mine as everything I mentioned and it looks amazing.
