i'm curious, what should be the max wattage of a 4 channel amp that i should use for door speakers (front and back)
i'm trying to get both my amp and door speaker amp to match
i know i can turn the power of the amp down, but i'm still curious
using 5g into 2x 8g wire

Depends on your ratings on your speakers in your door.

ah they are the rockford fosgates we were talking about earlier this week, idk know the rms/peak off the top of my head, i'm on a different computer so idk the models i chose
but its a decision between

600 watt 4 channel and 1000 watt 2 channel
or
900 watt 4 channel and 1500 watt mono block
or
900 watt 4 channel and 1400 watt 2 channel

both 2 channel amps can be used as mono blocks

600 watt and 900 are the same price ($80)
1000 watt ($90)
1400 watt ($120)
1500 watt ($160)

Simple. Figure out the rms.
Im sure its easy to find ur own speakers that u bought using a computer.

Id match it up with the rms and max on your speakers as best I could, and don't get a cheapy amp/
