As the main theme is very outdated, I decided to yet again create a refined/minimalistic D2JSP theme.

Features:
~ Fully responsive
~ Multiple backgrounds (optimized for fastest load times)
~ Custom CSS (Stylus)
~ Integrated JS + TailwindCSS (this is still in beta - Tampermonkey)
~ Simplified & modified icons (all donators are now with a unique triple star icon for better view / admins have custom icons)
~ New user colors (still in beta)
~ Added animations
~ Entirely new font
~ Resized almost everything in terms of pixelation & paddings
~ Based on flexbox system
~ Bigger avatars & signatures (max width of block)
~ Topic styling now appears with different colors and effects (Bold/Underline/Italic parts)
~ A lot more minor/major changes.

Suggestions:
~ Feel free to offer any, I may make this publicly one day depending on the user end support.

Preview (5MB pictures, give it some time to load, they have been optimized):

Accepting any sort of critiques, suggestions, improvements, etc. :)

Well, that's just a hate comment, I've made it orange themed for my liking, plus I'm not a front-end master, so let me know why you reacted that way instead of just writing such comments, lol

there's no spacing for the breadcrumbs, the borders on the pager links are fck'd, the font looks terrible, same for the background, the footer text is hard to read and its color blends with the bg, the top nav bar for the links look floaty, the quote/post links have no border and are not even positioned correctly, the join date for the postbox is way too close to the post's content, the fg icon doesn't even look like a gold icon, the button groups are in the middle and at bottom right (wtf?), and wtf is that donate button? also, the topic listings are way too scrunched and has terrible readability, i could go on..

it's not a hate comment, it has objectively terrible functionality & design

Thanks for the proper feedback, sadly I'm not a graphic designer or a front-end developer which is why it probably looks bad in someone experienced as you.
If anyone is willing to create a proper design for the forums, I'll be happy to code it and release it but in all honesty, I don't see anyone wasting their time on this.
Cheers for the comment.

Love the effort!
Would it even be possible to implement it as a theme on d2jsp?

this uses a web browser addon so most likely not without a site change being made.

Okay makes sense. Just didn't know how many of the things would require tampermonkey to function.

We really need these features badly:
~ Fully responsive
~ Bigger avatars & signatures (max width of block)

If I had access to the forum admin panel, I would be able to properly integrate the theme so it could be usable for everyone but I'm relatively new here to be given such access, moreover, avatars and signatures should be easy to fix, takes like 10 seconds, while the responsiveness is a bit trickier but still could be implemented, if not mistaken, the current model runs on flexbox which already provides some sort of responsive design to support mobile devices.
I also saw your other post, please do talk to your future wife so she could give her input as well, if I can make the design to look better, I'm all in especially from someone who is experienced in the field, thanks.
