Oh really? Looks like Russia concerns itself with other countries borders. Like every 5 years or so.
Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Syria, Chechnya(twice)

But just keep accusing others of hypocrisy. Its a complicated concept, you'll get there champ!

Btw can add funding fart right parties, hacking and using millions bots to divide, destroy, democratic countries... In EU. Not even including US.

btw you can add overthrowing legitimate governments, hacking, installing puppets, interference in other nation's internal politics, and assassination to American crimes.

You act like the US and Russia are peers. They are not even near peers. In any imaginable vector.

The US is the dominant global power for the past 75 years; Contrary to what doomsayers might suggest, the US global hegemony is going nowhere.
The more the US become isolationist, the more the rest of the world economy will suffer.

Russia is gas station on steroids that happened to inherit a stockpile of nuclear weapons. Terrible demographics. Rampant corruption. Yes they have vast resources. But when you ostracize your best customer of refined products, the EU. Your left with a consolation prize of selling your unrefined petroleum products to India and China at a cut price margin.
1 ruble is now equivalent to less than 1 cent. The arse has fallen out of Putins revisionist pipedream.
Russia is now essentially a vassal of China for the foreseeable future; That is until Xi grows tired of Russia's ever more costly war and nuclear posturing.

Shit, the only questions that remain are who will take the reigns after Putins inevitable demise and will he usurped before his own natural death.

But hey you miss 100% of the shots you don't take right?

This is the definition of an oxymoronic statement. You cant be a dominant global power if you walk away from it and become isolationist.

This is an incorrect comment. It was the West that ostracized Russia by way of Sanctions in the first place.

Everything else you said is largely true and relevant.

The current hegemony is going nowhere. The US is the main spoke in the wheel but its only one. NATO plus countries will grow in military and logistic importance in the coming decades. eg Japan, Australia.
Militarily the US has affirmed its support for its allies particularly in Asia but also in Europe.
Economically it will reconfigure its supply chains. Research onshoring.

Both statements are true. They are not mutually exclusive.

Sanctions are a response to Russia's war of aggression. Although you might apologize and justify the war, you can't outsource the responsibility for the outcome.
To be terse, you fuck around and you find out.

US influence diminished (new countries emergences, nuclear proliferation...) and populism (like Trumpism - isolationist) can push even further into this direction.
The "global rules" also changed in last decades: brutal regimes like Russia have now several new advantages in dominating smaller countries or weakening the free world
(wagner humanitary services ethics, internal ngo/journalists/reporting suppression, and others i would be happy to list but i have the feeling that even showing i'm right by A+B you will forget it the next day)

I let you imagine the damage if US & EU influence disapear and is replaced by something like Russia or China.

Old story:

What has Yanukovych been doing since he fled Ukraine?

Once living in exile in Russia, Yanukovych supported the Russian annexation of the Crimean Peninsula in the spring of 2014 and Russia’s invasion of eastern Ukraine.
The pro-Russian ex-president has been sanctioned by Ukraine and the European Union, and in 2015 was stripped of the title of President of Ukraine and all the benefits that come with it.
Later on, in 2019, Ukraine found Yanukovych guilty of a number of crimes, such as treason and aiding Russia’s war, and sentenced him to 13 years in prison in absentia.
When Moscow began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the Russian security services had reportedly planned to set up Russian proxy administrations which would control Ukraine, with Yanukovych potentially as a key leadership figure.
According to the Washington Post, Yanukovych was in Belarus in March 2022, waiting for his chance to return to Ukraine in the event Russia managed to capture Kyiv.
