on a side note i saw a fascinating suggestion - "Ukraine should seed the coast next to Moldova to Romania for 20yrs or until sovereign Ukraine regains its 1991 borders" - probably a really good idea right now, better to seed it to a neutral body temporarily then to lose it forever.

If someone wants to explain to me on who's authority the US is in Syria right now it would be great.
