The Ukrainian army is stretched to the limit while the Russian army is still building up (reports of "silent ongoing mobilization").

The advantage that Ukraine had before is nullified, the mix of newly announced Western weapons cannot change the inevitable (mix of various platforms is problematic and will take months to arrive anyways).

That's why I asked if you're serious...

I accept you and Djunior dont get on but his comments here are pretty on point. It remains to be seen how effective this Russian offence is but (a) Ukraine army is much reduced and (b) new weapons may not arrive in time or (c) may only have limited impact.

in the round its not looking good but it remains to be seen what will happen (russian gains heavily expected).

also prosman and Zanazu have both been banned. reminder to all that this site has rules. you can have a different view but you cant break the general rules.
so no sick gloating, offensive pictures etc etc.

It will be interesting to see how the next month goes. The mobilization was a shit show, and men were tossed in with minimal equipment and training to relieve front line units and stabilize the line. But it looks like the greater part of the mobilization (200-300k) was kept in reserve while they were trained and supplied more methodically. Now we're going to see that brought to bear against Ukrainian lines that are understandably exhausted. I don't know what will happen, but I'm less confident in Ukraine's long-term outlook than the "they are winning and certainly will win" crowd.

what they need is a stunning victory somehow. im not even sure how they will do that.
