I want to take a step back and look at what happened in this sequence of events
1. Minnesota, Utah, NYC and Texas used race as a factor to deny monoclonal antibody treatments to white people while giving them to black people, in otherwise identical conditions.
2. Tucker Carlson ran a segment drawing attention to this and calling it out as unconstitutional institutionalized racism.
3. States abandoned their racist policies when this Fox News scrutiny started looking at them
4. Other media outlets ran pieces denying the policies exist and running defense of the institutionalized racism and denouncing Tucker Carlson as spreading disinformation
This is the actual state of the media apparatus in 2022. In any conventional sphere for the past few hundred years, this would be a classic example of a journalist drawing attention to government misdeeds and having a positive influence by getting them changed. Instead its an example of an isolated journalist getting misdeeds changed while the entire rest of the media apparatus lines up to lie to the American public and tell them not to trust their lying eyes. Jesus fucking christ.
