I think of it more as the geopolitics of fear.
A simple spell, but quite unbreakable. :baby:

Lol why are we debating whether or not Russia would succeed in invading Europe.

It doesn't matter, the planet would be turned into a glass parking lot before any country is fully captured.

since they attacked Ukraine, 2nd biggest army in Europe, in a full-scale invasion, what really stops them from going forward to more countries?
Its just the next logical step on their way to rebuild Soviet Empire.
NATO is some help of course, but nobody will send Nukes to save Central Europe, and probably most countries wont send soldiers either.
Some will be looking for excuses, saying "oh yeah, we will send soldiers, just not right now, we arent ready yet" and will keep on hold for months like Germans on Ukraine supplies.
And Putin knows that, he smells weakness and uses it.
Remember central Europe was under Russian occupation some time ago, they already were here occupying this area in the past and want it back.

my two cents for the day: Russia would not be able to beat Finland any time soon in a conventional war, and its fantasy to even dream of Russia invading Poland or Germany, but carry on.

What exactly is "any time soon"? 5-10years? Yeah, I would kinda agree that they will need some years to rebuild army.

Do not underestimate Russia my friend. We can laugh that they are poor, that their soldiers use 10mln usd helicopters to steal washing machines worth like 100usd.
But their strength is that they can put half of their country production into army. Western countries dont do that, because we care about our people, and we keep only small armies.
Russia does otherwise: doesnt care too much about their people, but spends everything on their army.

Good morning,

Following the example of Stalin, Putin forcibly moves thousands of Ukrainian families - from zones occupied by Russian troops to the most remote and poor corners of Russia

At the moment, in Murmansk, the largest city north of the Arctic Circle, there are already thousands of people displaced from Donbass, the inhabitants of Mariupol came to Siberia, and those from Kherson were sent to Kamchatka.
The abducted Ukrainians were scattered across eleven time zones of the Russian Federation. Those who were least fortunate ended up 8,000 kilometers from home.
This is a planned displacement system. This starts with filter camps, followed by a long train journey with no stops, and the destination is TAP - temporary accommodation point.
- We are guinea pigs for them, they use Ukrainians to repopulate areas with low natural increase and low temperatures - says Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol.

And I hope that Putin will soon be displaced from the Kremlin.

I really doubt that someone would send used washing machines or toilets to a place thousands kilometers away. You can find one in the nearest garbage. I'd say they steal jewelry, notebooks and computer parts while the rest is being stolen by local marauders.
