Difference is, Benghazi was a monumental disastrous fuck-up of US foreign policy that resulted in the death of a very high-ranking US diplomat and all of his body guards.

It was also totally avoidable. The Obama admin declined to send in US marines as backup to his location multiple times, and literally watched him on a live-feed as his body guards were killed one by one. They fought to the death for 2 hours, with the White House literally watching them fight and watching them die in real time. And they did nothing the whole time. Then they made up some weird excuse about some video that didn't make sense? If I recall correctly.

They could've saved him, but they didn't.

Did conservatives push the issue at the time for partisan reasons? Probably. But it still pales in comparisons to the utter insanity we're witnessing play out now, which is a witch-hunt on a level not seen since the days of McCarthyism. We are literally witnessing a ruthless and paranoid administration persecute its political enemies, while at the same time using their control over the media to blow things way, way out of proportion. It's pretty gross.

I also find it interesting that they just assume Biden has a 100% chance of winning re-election.

And then there's Hillary talking about how America will no longer be a Democracy if Trump wins in 2024? What the fuck? How does that make any sense? Isn't that how a democracy functions? People win and people lose, right? It's the natural order of things.

Yeah. Clearly I haven't been paying attention because some real, real weird shit is going on. I don't even know what to make of this shit. To call it "strange" is an understatement. This is truly unhinged, from both Hillary and these apparently retired generals. The country is going insane, I guess?

What power grabs came out of Benghazi? How many people were locked up? Who was put in prison under penalty of law? Who did they censure, or strip committee seats from or impeach?
Again, I am making the not particularly subtle distinction between rhetoric and action, between words and effects, between bluster and blaster.

And to state this again, there's a huge difference between when a party holds partisan hearings to grandstand impotently, and when an administration sends storm troopers with battering rams to knock down a journalist's door in the middle of the night and seize his confidential sources. There's a difference between Trump denouncing someone on twitter and Biden throwing someone in prison for 5 years. There's a difference between Trump calling Hillary a crook, and Hillary's allies actually spying on Trump and weaponizing the FBI against him. There's a difference between Tea Partiers doubting the legitimacy of Obama's birth certificate, and BLM rioters burning down cities and lynching people.

Hillary is literally saying that if Republicans take back the white house in 2024 it will "be the end of America's democracy."

That's a very bold statement to make, and also a very paranoid and delusional one. So if they win an election fairly, it will be the end of democracy as we know it today?

So are they threatening not to recognize results, then, if the shoe ends up on the other foot?
