Yeah, I was just adding our own experience as an update.
Mainly sucks for the patients who might have to go without treatment. I could care less about the pharma companies honestly, but if a patient starts progressing because they missed a dose by 3 weeks it'll suck :(
That's true, although I have a hard time believing that it could come to this. But maybe I'm talking from a position of privilege in this regard, living in a city/metro with a population of 1.5m/2.7m. Even in the rural surroundings, there's an oncology office every 15 miles or so. Hard to believe all of them being quarantined at once, so that even the patients who absolutely need their weekly treatment can't get it.
But yeah, the situation probably looks very different in sparsely populated places like Missouri or Iowa.

Many Hospitals are now requiring 2 masks at all times because the mandated vaccines aren’t working for staff, starting Monday.
2 surgical masks at all times or 1 n95 and 1 surgical mask plus fully vaccinated just to care for non covid patients lol
This mask requirement wasn’t even required at the peak of covid in 2020 before vaccines. Vaccines haven’t done chit cases are at all time high
Deaths per case were something like 5 to 10 times lower during Delta than pre-vaccines, depending on the country. Preventing infection was never the primary purpose of the vaccines, preventing severe disease and death was.
Yes, the vaccines have been kinda disappointing at their secondary effect of dampening infections, but they're holding up surprisingly well at their primary purpose, even against Delta and Omicron.

With the booster theyre about 70% effective against omicron.
Yep, but this protection is waning very quickly, goes down to negligible levels after just 10 weeks. We definitely need those updated vaccines which are adapted to Omicron.
Vaccinating large swaths of the population every 3 months with the old vaccines, just so we can keep waves from taking off, is not a feasible long-term solution.
