an impeachment hearing isn't a court of law.
hearsay is evidence both in and out of court, it's just not admissible in court.
hearsay is fine to present in an impeachment, its also fine for the opposition to call it hearsay, repeatedly.
why is it you can't get these simple concepts?

hearsay = evidence =/= admissible evidence in court
evidence =/= proof
