a week ago i'd have agreed, if Chauvin hangs the mob will move on to this next cop that shot a dude. i think sadly the whole thing is a serious powder keg.

Why do you fail to mention the cops followed the correct procedure but the suspect jumped back into his car with the clear intention to flee?

And that the cop wanted to taser but because of the chaotic situation (created by the suspect) fired her gun instead?

Well to be frank. Officer sidearms and tasers are generally not in the same location. A sidearm is generally on the hip. While most tasers are on the outer thigh and even lower leg. Sometimes on opposite sides. The even feel different from one another as well. They even look completly different. So I mean was it a mistake? Or in the moment she didn't care cause she knew she could probably get away with it regardless.

It would be a bad mistake I agree but it had not happened had the suspect not resisted arrest right.

They were going to bring him in cuz the dude had an outstanding warrant and the cops followed procedure.
