I have no solution to remove the ISIS threat in the here and now. I'm not a military strategist. I simply don't have the knowledge and training to come up with a viable strategy.
My solution to neutralise the Germans would have been to listen to the military officials alive at the time who know what needs to be done.
You think you could stop the Nazis by killing Hitler? Or ISIS by killing Al Baghdadi?
The military officials took the war to the Germans. I heard they used spy cameras to scout the area to get an idea of the terrain and what the defenses were like. No point going in blind.
Killing Hitler would have definitely been a powerful blow to the Nazis without a doubt. We could learn from history and take the fight to ISIS. Killing Al Baghdadi may not necessarily stop ISIS but it will definitely be a powerful blow.
They may select a successor but having the knowledge of the great and powerful leader getting assassinated or killed would definitely shake all of ISIS. Taking the fight to them in their hometown, suddenly the roles are reversed. It is now in their hometown where the fighting and war is taking place.
Now you also ask what this has to do with me killing someone if God asked me to. If I have a call of duty to participate in this war, be it from the Government or if the terrorist attacks happen where I am located then I might just take that as a sign to fight back. God doesn't have to tell me via a messenger, dreams or blood on the wall because I see the situation at hand and I take that as God speaking to me. The limbic brain will drive my decision making based on my feelings what I make of the situation. I make a decision based on what I believe. If I feel as though God wants me to fight back and my belief system lines up with that then I will do just that.
