Life isn't fair. Didn't your mother ever tell you that?
The United States had missiles in Turkey during the Cold War, and the Russians had to deal with it. They tried to place missiles in Cuba, and the United States threatened global thermonuclear war.
You're right. Life is NOT fair. And while you've convinced yourself that the rest of the world would side with the US, I'm looking at current world sentiment maps, and as it currently stands, the only two nations on the planet that rank LOWER in world sentiment than Russia are Ukraine and the United States. You think we'd have support vs Russia? Only from part of Europe. Even Australia and Japan would be unlikely to support us, unless China also took our side, and they've made it very clear they're not interested.
Take it a step even further than that... China's proven they're capable of nuking the US now. What makes you believe that if we launched vs Russia, China would not launch vs us? Remove Russia and the United States, make the assumption that Russia has already decimated the majority of European Nato nations, where does that leave us?
You haven't thought things through, mate.

Just so I can't be accused of ignoring this: Who said anything about nukes? Why are you linking to an article about nukes? But if you really wanted to have a serious discussion about nuclear weapons and the ability to strike Russia, we'd need to have a chat about Turkey, now wouldn't we? Nah, wouldn't want that, would you?

There are both mid and short range missile systems set up in every NATO nation bordering Russia. That is a fact. And another fact is the ordinance they fire doesn't NEED to be nuclear to fuck up the capitol city of Russia. Is that too complicated?
