your under the assumption thats what actually happened, lets remember many of the videos released showing 'Russia' attacking ukraine were fake, and footage from other countries or times used now stating it was ukraine, there is a BBC journalist saying that was germany.

If NATO/U.S really wanted global war with Russia, all they ahve to do is stage an attack , blame it on russia then go to war

From the sources I've read, this is down to:

1) Poor maintenance. The longer you stall on the border waiting to attack, the more maintenance you need on tyres and other equipment. Looks like it wasn't done properly, which means vehicles will get stuck in mud. This has been compounded by using single roads instead of using other terrain
2) Tanks should be used in conjunction with infantry in BTGs so they can eliminate anti-tank infantry. There's a good thread on this here: https://twitter.com/KofmanMichael/status/1498042673667706884
3) Poorly trained troops and low morale. It would appear only the high ranking officers really knew what they were getting into. Do Russians really want to kill Ukrainians? It's like us invading Wales
4) Russian military is an artillery army first and foremost

Is war legal? The answer is yes. Some countries have signed treaties saying they will not use nuclear weapons in a first strike capability, other countries have not. Russia, and the United States don't need a reason to go to war. They wouldn't need to orchestrate some B level hollywood movie shit.

In fact, the game theory that has predicated the 70 years of peace between Russia and the United States centers on MAD principles. IF either side can first strike, they should.
