I think the only real question with all of this is the optics.

Considering I think it's borderline impossible the Republicans in the senate would ever vote to impeach.

If the house votes to impeach but the senate doesn't, does this help ruin Trump's reelection chances?

This whole thing just seems like a process that has to be done but ultimately politicians are just trying to navigate to put on their resume to get re elected with the dems showing they were apart of the coalition to go after Trump and the Republicans saying they were being voices of reasons against democratic overreach/witchhunt or whatever you want to call it.
