This trial has been sooooo interesting. The defense is doing a great job. Considering everything the Prosecution has and the employees it has. I am not 100% sure on the judge, however he does seem logical.
With how well the defense has done. I do not think there will be a murder conviction. I do think manslaughter is a very real possibility. When you consider the totality of the circumstances it really points to manslaughter. Some things could come into play that might sway to murder.
1. No medical attention was allowed by any officer. For around 9 mins
2. Floyd was already in the car...and then pullee back out.
3. No supervisor was called?
4. Paramedics had to remove chauvin from floyd?
5. Another officer asked if they should move him which was denied by chauvin.
6. Pleas from many peers and some children being ignored like a real public concern being ignored for 9 minutes resulting in the death of an individual.
If they come back with a not guilty verdict......I don't even wanna fathom.
Manslaughter has been a slam dunk from the start. I think somebody posted he was willing to plead guilty to some version of manslaughter before the trial even started.
So it's really a question of how high the prosecution can take it.
If they come back totally not guilty it will be another example of police not being held to account, and will result in massive demonstrations and almost certain violence. and I really can't blame the people who do violence after a miscarriage of justice. When the official path to justice goes away, violence outside the system becomes inevitable. It's just how things work.
