you really think this? like gastric bypass or something? because there's little a doctor can do to stop you from eating too much other than literally shrinking your stomach

ima be honest there's a lot of hot french women and I don't hate france. I think saucisson6000's dislike for americans and white people in general is a bit unhealthy

if it was the politically correct thing to do left wing posters here would regularly call him out for his racism

boogie2988 did it, so it must work for me

The role of a doctor goes far beyond medical procedures and medications.

She could have been educated about the health risks and referred to a dietician.

Universal health care tends to give governments an incentive to focus more at prevention of getting ill through legislation, since it's cheaper.

Paying for your own health care is also an incentive to be healthy.

governments care far less about spending other peoples money efficiently than the people do, and routinely run up large debts and enact inefficient anti-economic policies.

Yeah that isn't evidence mate. It seems like in the USA, where healthcare is expensive, people are far from healthy. It has only gotten worse over the years with obesity. Imo higher costs of healthcare for the consumer only incentivize the consumer to avoid healthcare altogether.

Prevention is better than treatment, is a common Dutch saying. With universal healthcare (in some form), people will be paying into the system regardless of how much healthcare they use. Which means that people can go talk to their doctor before they become clinicially depressed or stroke out due to high cholesterol etc.
