Isaiah 45 7, kjv

Then let's investigate that together shall we? What does that very verse say in its entirety?

It is called purging the evil. Do you remember the story of Sodom and Gomorrah?

The infants were evil? Really?

Could you murder a baby if your god told you to?

Firstly it is not murder if God tells me to, it is killing. Big difference between murdering and killing. Secondly I know that God will not tell me to take the life of an infant so I won't ever have to worry about that.

I do not think about every single possible scenario that could ever happen otherwise I won't ever do anything.

No, you get me.

Why don't you just Google: 'definition murder' and 'definition killing'?

Then I want you to report back here what the big difference is between the two. Maybe I will get what I want but you will not get what you want.

He makes a distinction between murder (killing with intent) and killing because the voices he hears in his head tell him to. Of course, to a normal person such as yourself, this seems ridiculous. You can imagine what a powerful tool this would be in pre-information times - can you imagine if the US had written the bible, and they claimed a divine right to kill with impunity?

Your god's record is aginst him - he seems to be all for murdering children and infants. Are you so naive to think that he would never ask you to do the same?

But that's besides the point. By dodging the scenario and distancing yourself from it you've confirmed that you disagree with his actions in the particular case. Congratulations, we may get more sense out of you yet!

I had a conversation with a rather stubborn Christian and it was about forgiveness etc.
I asked him if God forgives your sins, no matter what they are, and he said yes. I asked him if he'd forgive a chimo if he repents, he said yes. I asked him if God would allow him into heaven and he again said yes, if he truly repented and asked God to be his lord and Savior.
I then went on saying that the child, who was raped and had their innocence taken, lives out his life and goes to heaven only to find his rapist there.

He said yes, that once you've asked for forgiveness all sins are forgiven.

I laughed in his face and said I hope one of your family members is raped.

God doesn't need you to do his killing. He didn't need you at Sodoma and Gomora. He won't ask you to kill in his name in the first place. That's Satan not God

I don't think you understand the point I'm trying to make. I couldn't care less if some god revealed himself to me and order me to murder babies, cos I'd tell him to get fucked (and I suspect every christian here would, too).

Do you claim to know the mind of god? Where in the bible does it say that your god won't order his followers to commit atrocities, as he has done in the past?
