My work is mulling over making the vaccine a requirement to return to work (we're all working remote at the moment).

I have no issue with this aside from the fact that I'm young and healthy which puts me at the bottom of the list for people in need.

Small private company and i'm sure a handful of people will not be okay with this.

Curious if anyone has anything similar going on.

I work for a hospital system, so I'm surrounded by doctors and medical students who see patients, so I'm right next to potentially infected people all day. I have to get it.

I'm fine with it. Honestly I want everybody to get it by whatever means possible so we can return to normal. There were food trucks that would come to my work every day and I really liked them and I WANT THE GOD DAMN FOOD TRUCKS BAD GOD DAMN IT

To all governments, public health officials, doctors, and healthcare workers,

Residents of the USA: Text “VitaminDforAll” to 50409 to send this to your state’s governor.

Research shows low vitamin D levels almost certainly promote COVID-19 infections, hospitalizations, and deaths. Given its safety, we call for immediate widespread increased vitamin D intakes.

Vitamin D modulates thousands of genes and many aspects of immune function, both innate and adaptive. The scientific evidence1 shows that:

Higher vitamin D blood levels are associated with lower rates of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Higher D levels are associated with lower risk of a severe case (hospitalization, ICU, or death).
Intervention studies (including RCTs) indicate that vitamin D can be a very effective treatment.
Many papers reveal several biological mechanisms by which vitamin D influences COVID-19.
Causal inference modelling, Hill’s criteria, the intervention studies & the biological mechanisms indicate that vitamin D’s influence on COVID-19 is very likely causal, not just correlation.

Our president called and made an appointment for our entire office as did my wife's work although I had already made my own.

I'm young and healthy but they distributed enough for the town and there's only one more rotation coming in Feb for second shots so use it or lose it and potentially end up waiting a long time.

Took less than five mins except sitting 15 mins after to ensure no immediate issues.

I'm not convinced after looking through their sources and their sources sources, but vitamin D supplementation is so trivial to do and so low risk that I don't see any harm in recommending it.

I'm just not an early adopter of technology. No vaccine for now.

I work downtown in a major city. I very much feel your pain about those magical trucks.

I miss the Pierogi guy. He'd always hook me up with extras and let me taste new rogi's. I hope that Polish Bastard is doing well.

I've read online the Pfizer vaccine might make you sick for 2-3 days.

My mom gets to take the Moderna one soon. There's some religious people opposed to these vaccines because in the process of making it, genetic material from an abortion decades ago was used(probably butchering the terminology/biology here), but the Catholic church teaching allows it to be taken anyway, if there's not a more ethical option available.
