Wait, what? ~1 in 1000 die from the vaccine is "expected?"

I think the vaccine is a big kick in the nuts to the immune system and a lot of people who get it are already fighting covid off successfully and the vaccines hampers that fight. We had a ton of staff get symptoms and had positive diagoses exposed after the vaccine prompted them to get checked (after getting terrible covid symptoms after the vaccine). They were covid positive but asymptomatic for sure.

Some people have been out since Christmas time.

So should we be making sure people are negative prior to inoculation? Making sure their vitamin D levels are safe?

It's not 1 in 1000 dieing from tee vaccine. Theyre dead after the vaccine.

The casual link has not been established and even if it was thats still a lower risk than covid in high risk groups

If they tested all the staff they would have nobody to work.

firstly, your "dying FROM the vaccine" is not established in that article. it says that they died possibly in relation to the vaccine, stating that "side-effects MAY have contributed". that exclusively concerns "frail, elderly people". ALL casualties were amongst those "with advanced heart conditions, dementia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other serious diseases and aged at least 80 and some more than 90 years".

while that's admittedly far from ideal, it's still very well within expectations - if you had the slightest clue of how such a vaccine works, that is. simplistically framing it as "omg, 1‰ die from the vaccine" is alarmist and anti-scientific - especially if you keep in mind that the elderly were prioritised for vaccination due to being at high risk for covid-related mortality. norway might be a relatively small country, but even you should know their population exceeds the 25,000 people that were vaccinated so far (by approximately 215x btw). the rate of vaccine related complications is therefore expected to be higher amongst the first waves of vaccinations. all that is really basic stuff really.

We're talking about the highest priority people who are getting the very first jabs. It is a group with an age median north of 80 years, many of them high care patients with multiple ailments or preconditions. In this group, I wouldnt be surprised if the daily(!!) baseline mortality was of a magnitude of 1-in-1000...

Vaccinations are limited and a good number of people who already have it or had it very recently to test positive, are still getting vaccinated. This is a totally unnecessary use of vaccines and can be diverted to people in need. I am and have been totally on board with pre testing everyone who signs up for a vaccine. Every hospital system is different but our policy is infection within last 4 months - you have to wait to get vaccinated. However this is all self reported and there is no system in place to validate

Also I find the 1:1000 deaths incredibly hard to believe and we would have been seeing more issues /cases especially with our paranoid country if this was the case
