This is a serious topic but it must be accepted that this is a gaming forum, therefore from time to time there will be off topic non serious discussions. perfectly normal :) its the ability to have such non serious banter which will sustain the topic noting there are thing as we can agree on and things we cant but ultimately we can for the most part be civilized, to an extent :)

Hmmm

in the interests of not having arguements over SMALL THINGS i will agree with you. i have to compromise from time to time, I can be pragmatic ok.

Look in regards to Mr Polish and Frenchie.
Let's put it this way.

I have Utmost Respect in regards to their Moral Obligation, Humanity and Compassion.
But apart from that I don't really think much about their comments.
Because the world is not black or white. And you have to respect other's culture because they are not brought up in yours.

the more people accept/comprehend that the world is not black and white but an infinite shade of grey, the better.

back on topic - RTE News (Ireland):

Two politicians in Russia's far east urged President Vladimir Putin to put an end to Moscow's offensive in Ukraine in a rare public show of dissent. Despite thousands of people having been killed and wounded during Russia's three-month military campaign in Ukraine, Mr Putin has largely enjoyed the public loyalty of the country's political parties and government officials. But a meeting of the legislative assembly of the Primorsky Krai region caused an uproar when a local politician and member of the Communist faction in the legislature read out a statement urging the Kremlin chief to pull out Russian troops.

"If our country does not halt the military operation then there will be even more orphans in our country," Leonid Vasyukevich read from the statement, according to a video of the meeting. "During a military operation, people become disabled. These are young people who could be of great use to our country," he added. "We demand an immediate withdrawal of the Russian troops." As he read the appeal, several politicians and the governor of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, tried to silence him.

Mr Kozhemyako accused Mr Vasyukevich of "tarnishing" the reputation of the Russian army and called him a "traitor". Mr Vasyukevich said the statement had been signed by four other Communist politicians but two of those deputies disavowed the appeal at the meeting. A majority of those present at the meeting then voted to strip Mr Vasyukevich and Gennady Shulga, who also backed the appeal, of the right to speak at the session. The head of the local Communist faction, Anatoly Dolgachev, said the move had not been agreed with the party and promised to take "the toughest measures". The veteran leader of the Communist Party, Gennady Zyuganov, has publicly supported Mr Putin over Ukraine.

Russian artists, media figures and several business tycoons have spoken out against the Kremlin's offensive in Ukraine that has led to a barrage of unprecedented Western sanctions against Moscow. But after three months of the hostilities, there has been no apparent outbreak of dissent from within Putin's inner circle or top officials. Russia has adopted legislation that could see people imprisoned for up to 15 years for discrediting the Russian military.

also I checked the Russian Tass site - and then fact checked it. The Russians are saying that Spain does not support Ukraine in Nato. When I fact checked it I could not find anything other then where it said Spain does support Ukraine joining the EU. If anyone can find anything else on Spain Nato Ukraine, feel free to dump it here.

a side story:

MOSCOW, January 19. /TASS/. The Iranian side has handed over to Moscow a draft agreement on strategic cooperation for a 20-year period, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Wednesday following talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow. "We handed over to our Russian colleagues a document on strategic cooperation between our countries which can determine prospects for at least 20 years," he said. According to the Iranian president, "the current level of trade and economic relations [between Iran and Russia] is not satisfactory." "We can increase the level of our trade and economic cooperation by several times," he added.

Is Hawaii an Occupation by the United States of America?
Are you occupying this land now ?
Danzig

Dear collegue, Danzig is an old german name, the city is called Gdansk everywhere else in the world.
Before the war the city was mostly german population, while nearby villages were mostly polish. Such a mix of two nations that was.
Germans mostly had to leave the city after Germany lost WW2, as a punishment for starting the war.
I admit that Poland gained land from Germany.
Sometimes some people over here say:
"Germans started the war, destroyed a lot, killed a lot, stolen a lot but paid Poland no money, and they are so rich!"
My response to them is always: "Germany paid us back in cities and lands they lost as a result of the war"

Nowadays there are no Germans in Gdańsk, but if they wish they come buy a house no problem, as we are both in EU.

Lol didn't you say that Russians need to give Kaliningrad back? You don't see the hypocrisy of saying what you just said about Danzig?

No, never said that, give back to whom?
Poland? There are not many polish people there, and those who are know they are minority and need to obey rules.
After the Russia collapse, Kaliningrad people will have to make a choice, whether they want stick with the "Moscow Republic" or they want to be on their own like Estonia and join EU.
