And what country is yours? You sometimes speak about Singapore, yet your location in your profile shows Hong Kong which is now occupied by China.
We are not Wolf in a meaning we dont have any imperial ambitions ourselves. But its true we stick and help USA, because its strategic alliance. You can say that we are voluntary USA vassal state.
Usa says "Hey buddies, lets make a trip to Iraq, there are some bad folks there" and we go there without really asking questions.
In our location of Europe, right on Russia border, a country needs to make a choice if they want to be USA vassal state, or become a country occupied by the Russians.
We are also part of EU, but really EU is not much more than a trade association of Independent small countries, and those Independent small countries in EU care mostly about themselves and their short term business, so this isn't really an alternative to USA, sorry.
Maybe someday EU moves further to unite, to create something like United States of Europe, that would be cool indeed. But I dont see it coming.
USA is a decent country, and people are free and rich, while Russia is a negation of that - choice for Poland is clear.
We can only hope, that when worst comes, and Russia attacks us, USA will help at least a little bit.
Ukraine wanted to stay neutral, and see what it became to them.

Our Polish friend have some very interesting take on history.
But I respect his comments on Hong Kong being " occupied" by China.

if you ignore his comments re: WW2 and Hitler, the rest is all fine to be honest, and perfectly normal, some things we know some things we dont. some things we assume, some things we wont agree on etc. We dont all have to agree on everything. one thing - he is right:

the US (broadly) has (more) people (that) are free and rich, while Russia is a negation of that - choice for Poland is clear.

also

the US would lose all credibility if they did not help Poland if you were attacked by Russia (or anyone). From a geopolitical stand point they will always have your back.
