Basically every medication can worsen outcomes if you give it incorrectly. That's why studies take so friggin long, so we can decide when to give it and how much.

Reducing hospitilization time by 30% is pretty massive when hospital capacity is critical in a lot of areas.

One important detail to ask is "why do hospitals still use ventilators?" They make people more likely to die. And do almost nothing to stop ARDS.
