Idk, I just woke up. I'm working graveyards and that's the two things I seen as I googled impeachment. So thought I would find valid information here, but only found grandpa and sharpie comments.

The quid pro quo is all but proven now. the new defense of the right is that since the aid was given before an investigation was done by Ukraine the quid pro quo no longer matters. the new leftist talking point is that "asking someone to murder someone isnt a crime as long as they dont murder them." which is a bad comparison being that quid pro quos in international diplomacy aren't illegal. it's a bit of a run around atm.

the only looming bit of juice left is that the white house official who authorized the aid to Ukraine before the QPQ was carried out hasn't testified, publicly. im sure this will break out into "why wont the dems let them speak" vs "why wont the POTUS let people testify".

Nothing has changed. This is just the continuation of what started in late 2016. You can dress it up however you want, but it won't change that fact.

this is 100% correct.

in 2016 Trump said there was no interference, then that the interference wasnt to help him, then that even if it did help him he had no contact or anything to do with it, and low level people got in trouble but he didn't.

in 2019 Trump said there was no quid pro quo, then that the quid pro quo wasn't carried out but did happen, then that even if it did happen it's not illegal, and low level people will get in trouble but he won't.

the narrative changing with facts and him admitting to bad behavior in hindsight is really comparable.

Thanks, I still don't see too much that's gonna change the outcome once it hits the Senate.
