He will tell you it's America.
The leader of the free world, human rights, democracy and freedom of speech.
He said it before.

No its China
If it wasn't for USA Chinese would still be eating sparrows (most likely still happens but not on the massive scale, before USA industrialized chinese peasants)
If it wasn't for USA's Land-lease in world war 2, chances are that the number of casualties would be in 60-80 million range for the USSR not 30. Probable loss in world war 2 as well.
If it wasn't for USA, Imperialism wouldn't end when it did, basically funded Soviet revolution, destroyed Japanese Empire, and applied pressure on GB as well as being the first colony to overcome British rule in full.

But ya its China, especially on freedom of speech - even 24/7 monitoring comments on their youtube channels and deleting all comments that goes against communist party position like their russian colleagues.

or maybe its russia?
When 75% of the country looks like its from 1700-1800s with same czar for last 24 years poisoning/arresting/killing all his political foes..

false accusations are the definition of a lie

sharing assumptions with the whole world that they knew beforehand were false ("no evidence Russia brought any chemical weapons") - is the definition of a lie

look, I KNOW and YOU KNOW but ultimately the world does not care. if they are lying they should be removed from office. thats my view. is that going to happen ? no. because lying is what they do and its accepted in the world they move in.

pretty sure every country filters and removes stuff from youtube. just look at all the noise about the latest lord of the rings movie. if they do it for films they certainly do it for current international affairs.

So looks like the Azovstal drama is coming to an end with at least 260 Ukrainian troops surrendering. In other news Russia has almost fully withdrawn from north of Kharkiv.

To me both of these feel like decent de-escalatory starting moves.

To me, both events feel driven more by acknowledging the inevitable than a conscious effort at de-escalation. The soldiers in Azovstal had reached the limit of their capabilities, yesterday's phosphor bombs probably also played a role. Likewise, Russia retreating from the Kharkiv region seems more a function of their dwindling resources which have to be focused in Luhansk and the south.

If it wasn't for Deng Xiao Ping going to Thailand , Malaysia and Singapore and realized how shitty the Commie China is during his 1978 visit and with the Help of Lee Kuan Yew making them open up to the world to do business. They will still be eating sparrows. Actually more than that they will be eating Tree Bark and Field Rats.
If it wasn't for USA's Land-lease in world war 2, chances are that the number of casualties would be in 60-80 million range for the USSR not 30. Probable loss in world war 2 as well.
The Soviets don't care about casualties.

USA imperialism still exist in 750 military bases around the world. The Japanese already knew they will have to surrender sooner or later when the Nazi's fell, the 2 Atomic bombs on civilians are pointless, but I give them props for fighting the war, that being said the Japs attacked them first.
GB is already screwed over after WW2, they already lack economical and military clout ,they will lose their Colonies slowly bit by bit and most recently Hong Kong. But hey they still have Falkland Island which is not a bad thing.

China doesn't own Youtube, are you high ?

Whether Russia have democracy or not they will not progress because of their corruption and cronyism. This is a problem that only Russians themselves can solve.
And by the way Russia and Belarus have more Freedom of Speech than my country.
I am doing pretty fine.

Let me correct your above statement

Sky news:

A feature of the conflict to date has been the frequent accounts emerging of alleged atrocities committed by Russian forces.

The latest to surface is that told by Mykola, one of three brothers reportedly forced to their knees on the edge of a freshly dug pit by a wheat field in northern Ukraine after being blindfolded and bound.

According to a harrowing account published by the Wall Street Journal, the first bullet killed the youngest brother, Yevgen, before the second hit Dymytro, the eldest.

The round aimed for Mykola hit him close to his right ear and came out above the right side of his mouth, the report said.

The Russian soldiers pushed Mykola into the grave on top of Yevgen before he felt Dymytro’s weight land on him - then realised someone was shovelling earth over them.

"I realised I was alive," the 33-year-old said.

The bullet had skimmed the upper jaw on the inside of his cheek without causing any major damage but, according to the account, he then faced a torturous journey home after surviving execution - while evading Russian forces along the way.

His account is said to form the basis of one of thousands of cases Ukrainian prosecutors are building against Russian forces they accuse of perpetrating war crimes, including summary executions, torture and rape.

Haven't you looked at any western media? They didn't surrender. They 'evacuated' and 'ukraine ended combat operations around mariupol'. Sure, they were 'evacuated' to a POW camp in Russian territory, but get with the messaging
