well its not looking likely that the russians are going home anytime soon.

Sweden also said yes to Nato today, so Sweden and Finland (in Nato) at this point looks like a done deal ( Turkey will just be bribed, for want of a better expression, to remove their objections ).

Also I read Ukraine forces have now reached Russia's border, in places.

No risk or rebelliion or protests from soldiers ? And you know that this "they are all neo-nazis" is propaganda right ?

apologies for my double post here.

Sauisson, I saw you posting in the political picture thread, and thought it would be apt to post a similar picture, thus without further ado:

you posted a relevant picture, in another topic. i felt it was relevant to this topic so i dragged it over. Some media is fond of dragging up old pictures and creating narratives. a few hundred pages ago we had a series of pictures where putin shook hands with a load of western leaders. photo opp's are a necessary evil in todays world, but i personally do not put alot of weight to them (while accepting some media likes to present a narrative "look he shook his hand, how could he do that, and you want to elect him?").

finally, if you want me try to say something (which was not my intent) then i guess i could say: In this picture a leader of America is showing American solidarity with Ukraine.
full disclosure I am not a fan of Mitch McConnon and I dont know the other american's in the picture.

ps your above picture is better then mine. when was that taken ?

A typical Russian way is to get conscripts in the first line, while keeping experienced ones in the back.
If somebody from the first line wants to retreat, he is shoot down.
A typical conscription in Russia occupied area looks like this: "we either kill you and your family (or move you all to Syberia which is pretty similar) or you join our army and we let your family free and give you freedom too after the war".
Its all inhuman but well, that's Russia

2019 you can often catch the date in the link of the picture when it's press articles. You can also find the original article by using google, put image link in it, and doing "image search".
Regarding previous picture: American republicans are a bit late on this gameplay.

and now the best one: "garden party"

im subscribed to the economist. i am not a fan of alot of these political cartoons in general as they are often very narrow, but the message in this cartoon is not lost on me and I do agree with it. by agree i mean, for sure they should join, for sure the world of western europe is more welcoming then the world of russia, and for sure western europe has diversity and russia neither has diversity or much to offer.

harsh I know, but to my mind russia is simply not offering much to the world right now.
