7 of the Top10 import and export partners are currently sanctioning Russia (as well as another one of their top10 import and export partner).
They deal 52,9% of their international trade with the EU (who is currently sanctioning them)
Go figure

But if you think that this has no severe consequence on russian economy, then any further argument is pointless.

How much of that 52.9% is gas/oil exports? Because those aren't sanctioned.

Well Russia destroyed a civilian city and caught the largest nuclear powerplant in the world in fire.

Putin still hiding somewhere like a coward.

A top russian general was sniped last night, so russians with balls to lead are getting head blown off.

Putin must be declared a criminal for this like Milosevic.

Look we all can agree that the west can heavily sanction Russia. the ultimate level of sanctions is not known. we dont need to argue over the fact that sanctions do have an impact, and there is no need to argue over guessing the level of impact. Cuba survived and exists, as does north korea and so will any country that is sanctioned. and yes, russia is a big place. if they start buying more from other bloc's, so be it.

anyone can call anyone a war criminal but it generally does not stick.

From the Guardian - Tony Blair should not face prosecution for his role in the 2003 Iraq war, the high court has ruled. The lord chief justice, Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, and another senior judge, Mr Justice Ouseley, said on Monday that there was no crime of aggression in English law under which the former prime minister could be charged. The decision blocks an attempt by a former Iraqi general, Abdulwaheed al-Rabbat, to bring a private war crimes prosecution against the former Labour leader. The two judges recognised that a crime of aggression had recently been incorporated into international law, but said it did not apply retroactively. The offence is not on UK statute books and it was for parliament to decide whether or not to do so, their judgment noted. A recent supreme court case entitled Jones had ruled there was no crime of aggression in English law, Thomas said.

you can wiki your way to understand that one and you can apply that same logic to Donald Rumsfeld ( an American ).

TLDR: every country commits war crimes and the winners pick who committed a war crime.

Blair and Bush should be in prison, was interesting to see investigators request to speak to bush jr and dick cheney seperately under oath, they refused and would only answer questions together not under oath

Iraq and Syria were the most educated countries in the Middle East and the illegitimate invasion of Iraq really changed things for the worse. It was predicated on a lie. Even when intelligence officers told the truth they were doxed and discredited ie Valerie Plame, whose identity was leaked by Scooter Libby in the Bush administration while her and husband, a diplomat, were investigating claims of Yellowcake Uranium from Nigeria. Bush pardoned Libby after literally committing treason against the US by deliberately doxing an anti-nuclear proliferation spy.

i was fishing and yes to all that, something similar happened in the UK and its widely known, i.e. public knowledge that we (waves around) can also be the baddies at times. ofc to be more true, its better to say that people can be baddies, but a nation cannot. thats how someone can quickly get into trouble when talking about Israel. i.e. condemn the man, not the nation. I apply this same logic to Putin: Russians.

There are no legitimate and illegitimate invasions. The invasion of Iraq was a mistake, but Saddam's Iraq post-Gulf War was not the place it was before.

Remember when you seal clapped for us to topple Assad and fund rebels who were in turn had ties to various islamist groups like Al-Nusra? I remember.
