The last administration, which spent years sitting by complying with a bogus witch hunt against it, while the AG made it his policy to decline all politically charged investigations and prosecutions even if they were legitimate and well evidenced, to avoid even the appearance of bias, even to the point of openly defying the President's wishes. Gee, if the last administration had even 1/100th of the will to cross that line as Obama and Biden did, we'd be watching the public trial of Ilhan Abdullahi Nur Said Elmi for twenty different fraud charges. But the Republicans had the civility not to weaponize every federal agency as a political bludgeon, and the wisdom to recognize when its in their interests to not set wild precedents and when to let a thorn keep digging into the democrat's sides rather than pull it out.

I can name a dozen naked power grabs the Democrats have committed in just the past few months, what did Trump do by comparison? Belittle them? Post mean twitter videos? I mean, up until they censored the president's twitter account, because Big Tech shares that totalitarian fervor.

That's how I'm contrasting a party that willfully let its opponents get away with their actual crimes while tolerating an inquisition into fanciful and nonsensical accusations against themselves, against the moron arsonist party that is willfully burning down the house while they're still in it.

The Republican-controlled DoJ under Bill Barr not only refused to prosecute crimes by prominent Democrats, they refused to dignify Trump's blathering about election fraud
The Democrat-controlled DoJ under Merrick Garland sent storm troopers to knock down the doors of journalists with battering rams in the middle of the night, seize all their documents and unmask their confidential sources, then turned around and instantly leaked it all to the NYT.

We've heard a lot about Biden's dismal poll numbers, but has anyone paid attention to Trump's post-presidency favorability ratings? Drawing upon that polling bias I'd say its clearly higher, at least weighted for electoral college votes. But the point being, people who supported Trump aren't abandoning him even after his loss, and Joe Biden is being abandoned after his win (to the tune of 20-30 point swings), and yet while Trump's whole existence is sitting in Mar-a-Lago twiddling his thumbs for the next 3 years and posing for pictures with Kyle Rittenhouse, Democrats continue to make their foremost issue be "how much we hate Donald Trump and want to crucify him". Which drives that wedge right inbetween one half of America and the other and twists it as hard as they can.


For some stubborn souls, only suffering and pain can be an adequate teacher.
