1) It was mentioned multiple times already, that central Europe wanted to join EU/NATO to protect themselves from Russia. They came to NATO to join. Why do you ignore us, European people? We are even more numerous than Russia, yet for some unknown reason you keep us forcing into Russia slavery. Just because Stalin allied with Hitler 80 years ago and conquered central Europe doesnt give him the right to rule here, lol.

3) if Putin acts quickly, and takeover Baltic states quickly, then NATO probably wouldnt react in time. People from France or Germany do not really care much about Baltic states. And not every USA president is like Biden, for example the prvious USA president was in favor of making compromises with Russia.
NATO sure helps a lot, but a country needs to take care of his own army and land too.

So if Putin makes a quick invasion, towards some eastern areas, NATO wouldnt launch nukes to take these territories back, just like Ukraine didnt take Crimea back.

If it comes to who is more likely to shoot a nuke first, I'd say the jury is still out on that one. The history of nuclear escalation and neo-imperialist aggression doesn't cast the west favorably.
