I'm pretty black-pilled about it TBH. I'm no stranger to arguing politics with lefties on the internet, been doing it for years, but for the longest time I was under the impression that it was a contest of wits, knowledge, etc. As in, a mutual pursuit of what's correct, or what's moral.
But the last couple years has really driven home the point that that obviously doesn't matter. Correctness or morality don't matter. Leftists aren't objectively correct, at all. Obviously the "science" they mention every fucking 5 seconds isn't at all scientific, it's just what people and institutions are under tremendous pressure to say is true. All that matters is who controls the physical and economic force to push what they want. (Some would say, obviously, duh...) but Liberals pulled off the facade that they push their ideals because they believe they're better ideas for a long enough time to put reasonable people to sleep. Including my former self. Their ideas, on balance, are absolute dogshit and upside down nonsense. Tons of Americans are under the impression that because of that, that surely they won't gain traction. Thus, you still see Boomers on social media saying "Fauci should be locked up!" And shit like that. Yes, obviously that's true. That's the least of what should happen to him. But they just don't realize... by whom? Divine intervention?
