I'd think the liberals are very open about acknowledging americas faults on the global stage. Plenty of warcrimes have been commited by america over the decades and I don't deny this. I do see them as the lesser evil though compared to russia and china.

Could you run me some numbers on how much bombs the US dropped in the Past 40 years as compared to China ?

Do you feel strongly a superpower have the right to threaten a small democratically sovereign country with possible military action or sanction because they have their own interest in regards to their own development of their country because somehow these country cross their red line?

(a) I dont think he was referring to bombs ultimately the whole idea of comparing apples and oranges is not possible. each will champion their own taste and its a matter of perspective.
(b) its not a question of right and wrong, for the superpower when the small country (democratically elected or not!) is forming a strategic military alliance or infringes on the superpower ideologies it may result in a necessary (in their eyes) belligerent act on the part of the superpower. I am not referring to any one situation/conflict here.

in terms of taiwan, most neutrals see serious issues between the US and China in the future, and noting that Taiwan is pro-american and so close to china, it probably creates issues (for china).

LMAO! Yes, America has also invaded and mistreated some foreign countries. This does not contradict or undo the Russian aggression though.

Also, the US have generally treated Europe far better than Russia. When East Germany, Hungary and Czechia wanted to go their own way, Russian tanks came waltzing in to bring them back under the Russian yoke. When Ukraine wanted to join a free trade zone with Europe, the Russia-aligned president vetoed it, then tried to quell pro-EU protests with force, and when that failed, Russia captured Crimea and the Donbass.

Meanwhile, the US have accepted Europe going their own way on many occasions. When they wanted to go to war in Iraq, France, Germany and a few smaller European nations outright refused allegiance. Did the US send carrier groups to bomb Paris and Berlin into submission, similar to what the Russians did in Budapest and Prague? No. In recent years, Europe signed trade deals with Japan, Canada and Mexico, but refused to sign a new trade deal with America. Did the US government make a fuss about it? No.

aslong as you americans run guantanamo bay, i give a fuck about your illusional „help“. your „trading zones“ in the end enslaves the country that joined. no need your help ty.
problem is you FORCE nations to accept your „help“.

and if you want talk about the past, i would honestly shut the fuck up if i was an american.
you are a warmonger all over the years and want to tell me you are the good guys?

GTFO

WORLD DOESNT NEED YOU. YOU SUCK.

That goes without saying. We are upset about Taiwan not because China doesn't have the sovereign right to threaten a much smaller, democratic nation, but rather because Chinese control over Taiwan is bad for the Taiwanese people and bad for the United States.

I have a bone to pick when people want to do comparisons because at the end of the day all these "super powers" whether is it China ,Russia or USA have been bullying weaken nations, to me there is no lesser or bigger evil.
Evil will always be evil, the faster the world becomes multi polar and equilibrium is achieved and multilateralism is achieved, the better it is.

There are more important issues in the world we are facing right now than one country trying to retain her primacy forcing 3 major Area into conflict while she is sitting there protected by the Atlantic and Pacific ocean with neighbors that are hardly even a mosquito bite.
The recent interview with Biden at Lockheed Martin is even more damning to me, praising the sacrifice of innocent Ukrainian lives to protect American lives or at least that is what he meant.

Does a Sovereign nation have the right to choose who they prefer to partner with in regards to their own interest like Ukraine for example who prefer the Euro or NATO route and not the Russian route without having to feel pressured both Geo politically and militarily .

everyone dislikes the cuba analogy but well, its the same principal and we went over this 200 pages ago. sometimes a country will do what it believes is required to be done. that does not make it right (or wrong) it makes it necessary, in that countries eyes.

They have an absolute right to make their own choices, and it isn't possible to take that away from them, it's inviolable in the literal sense. But decisions have consequences. If Taiwan were to declare independence tomorrow, it would mean war. If some small island nation upsets the United States by cozying up with an unfriendly regime, there are consequences.

yep 100% agree. its not a question of right or wrong, its a question of necessity, or cause and effect.
