"Trials" is meaningless. The vaccine didn't exist prior to 6 months ago. It's still experimental, it was fast tracked, there's no idea on long term effects, there's no way to mandate or place any hard requirements, from either government or private sector in the US.

Long term complications don't magically appear at 5 years. They are visible developing the entire time, and we haven't seen any so far. However covid we know for a fact has long term complications because, again, we can already see lung and heart scarring.

Meaningless. It's a new TYPE of vaccine. The trials had nothing to do with long term or side effects. The trials had to do solely with efficacy.

Trials ALWAYS track side effects and long term effects if the participants for years. I work on clinical trials and so does my wife. You get in a ton of trouble if your logs of side effects are not up to date. If they're even 48 hours behind you risk the whole trial getting shafted for patient safety. If somebody gets in a car crash and breaks their leg, you have to log that. You have to log EVERYTHING.

You don't know how these things work. Thats fine. You aren't a medical professional. If everybody was expected to be that would be a ton of wasted effort. But at least listen to the people who actively work on these things. In fact as we speak right now I am processing clinical correlatives for a clinical trial. It is boring as hell...

You're barking up the wrong tree, and in the most stupid and boneheaded manner you possibly could. "Drug Trials" on average range from 6-10 years. Why? For a proper trial, you need to be able to adequately try multiple control scenarios, multiple age groups, need to test any and all short and long term effects.

There was none of that. There was 2 months worth of efficacy-based testing on the vaccine. The vaccine was never approved for the market. It was provided a strict EUA due to the Pandemic. That's it.

Average clinical trials don't last 6 to 10 years. Trials of brand new drugs May last that long because you have to go through completely new toxicity studies from the ground up and you have to recruit for each stage which takes forever. Covid s using mRNA based technology that we already have toxicity and side effect data for so you don't have to start from Phase 1 and go from there like you would a novel drug with no toxicity data. We use mrna treatments for ither things. The only novel thing happening here is its application as a vaccine. Similarly you don't have a usual two-year recruitment. For each stage with covid-19 cuz you are flooded with volunteers.

You are making mistakes that I would expect somebody with no experience in the field to make. And again that's fine, you have no experience in the field. This is what I would expect somebody to say. But please drop your fourteen-year-old mental attitude and listen to somebody who actually knows what they're talking about
