what's the punishment for burning down a liquor store?

I think it should be less than defending a murderer.

https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2020/05/29/woman-found-dead-inside-car-in-north-minneapolis-amid-2nd-night-of-looting-fires/

more details on the other confirmed murder:

Quote
At 3:16 a.m., Minneapolis police officers who were on patrol in the area were flagged down by a motorist, who told them they found a car with a person who looked to be deceased. Police responded to the area of 17th and Bryant avenues where they found a car in the middle of the street.
Inside the car, a woman in her 30s was found deceased in the backseat. Due to “trauma visible” on the victim’s body, a suspicious death investigation was initiated.
The area where the reported murder took place has been overrun with violence in the overnight hours. WCCO-TV has not sent a crew to the scene for safety concerns.
This overnight incident may be the second death connected with the nights of unrest following the death of George Floyd on Memorial Day.

what a real president sounds like. soothing, but firm with his message - not inciting hate, division, or violence. he is right, it is everyone's job to do better.

just because something doesn't effect you personally, doesnt mean it doesnt matter.

Still "birds in the park" was potential trolling, but everything else is true

what's the punishment for burning down a liquor store?

well that's why you have a medical examiner determine whether putting his knee on the guy's neck is a causal factor in the death.
You could potentially make a case for excessive force, battery or even depriving civil rights- but to say its murder you need to say that {action} led to {death}
They need to establish that without that knee to his neck, he wouldn't have died. But we don't even know that bare minimum. For all we know, the guy swallowed a bag of drugs when he saw the cops coming and died of an overdose that would have happened no matter what they did. Is that likely? Nope. Is there any evidence to support it? Nope. But its the kind of thing we'd know for sure when the ME report is in. Instead they rushed to charge simply to appease a mob, and justice blinded by a mob's fury is no justice at all

Did you hear that emergency room Doctor on MPR radio just prior to the charge announcement give his 2-cents? He described that they would normally begin immediate management of the patients air way given the circumstances shown on the video. The 3rd degree murder charge seems correctly fit. 609.195a

I mostly agree with waiting under normal circumstances. But I think in this case it just had to be done or wed have even worse riots.

And I think the me report and coroner autopsy will find the knee did the killing.

It's odd how taking a knee can be deadly or treason depending on the circumstances.
