Boosters are wildly available and free which is nice. However, I think it'd be more prudent to buy as much supply as possible and give them away to the 3rd world. The next variant will likely come from there and this is one of the better ways to combat that.
We'll talk about it again in around 6-8 weeks when shit hits the fan in the non-Southern US and Democratic governors are locking down entire states again.
Here's a little incidence chart from my state of Bavaria:

And here is the curve of ICU occupancy (note that ICU admissions lag behind cases by a week or so):

Keep in mind that this is with a vaccination rate of 85% for seniors and 75% for the entire adult population.
Similar trends in Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands and so on and on.
Also keep in mind that the current 14% weekly growth of covid cases in the US is made up of two diverging trends, declining case numbers in the South and surges in the North. For example, look at Michigan:

Whitmer is probably already chomping at the bit to trigger the next round of lockdowns.

My prediction: in hindsight, hoarding vaccines will turn out to be one of the best decisions of the entire Biden presidency. Trust me, in the not too distant future, your country will be happy to have them.
