Does anyone who is not a nostalgic liberal care what Obama has to say?

I'm a center-right moderate and I care what Obama has to say. Americans like Obama.

They liked him so much that he lost both his midterms in a landslide, the first one was even worse than Trump's in 2018.
They liked him so much that they chose the king birther as his successor.

None of that has any bearing on Americans' like or dislike of Obama. Midterm swings in Congress are as old as Congress itself.

That's pretty much how Democrats are gonna be for the forseeable future.

They'll get in office on a wave, disappoint anybody even mildly left wing by doing basically nothing, and then Republicans will slowly take power over the next 4-8 years and fuck shit up again, and then Democrats will get in on a wave after that. Wash rinse repeat with no real change and the underlying problems getting worse.

the irony of that user saying Americans like Obama when most of the lefties and lefty RINOs (like icepeon) here do not like him at all
that user has been rooting for the President of the USA to fail for 12 years now

Yes, but the extent of midterm swings does of course have a lot to do with the track record and approval rating of the incumbent.

Finally listening to Trump's town hall.

God damn, I wish every reporter would grill politicians like this on every interaction. It's a damn shame that it takes Trump making it so easy on factual issues like Covid and stuff to get them to actually do it.

God I'm rock hard listening. I want her to have my babies. I don't even know what she looks like since I'm listening while working but god damn.
