Barr's summary said: NO evidence of collusion, and as for obstruction, there was not enough evidence to accuse him, nor was he exonerated.

Innocent till PROVEN guilty in the USA.

says the guy that wants political opposition locked up without due process
says the guy that excuses 100% of street killings by authority
says the guy that wants to wait for the appeal to make any judgements on a cop convicted of murder

oh yeah and that time you wanted us locked up in pard if we said something you didn't like in that thread you made about the extremist muslim compound

and of course you feel the same way about Jussie Smollet.

Ofc not. Even State's Attorney Kim Foxx described Jussie Smollette as a: washed up celeb, who lied to the cops, in text messages (after she recused herself), that were just released yesterday by her office in response to a public records request.

Cook County Inspector General Patrick Blanchard agreed last week to investigate the office’s handling of the Smollett case.

1. I want the politicians who broke the law, locked up, WITH due process.
2. I do not excuse 100%. I only say, wait till the guy(s) is/are convicted, before you hang them.
3. Yes, that case was going to appeal. The LAW says you can't sentence him unless he loses the appeal.
4. Yeah, despite the fact that the Dems swept that one under the carpet... Yeah I want to see anyone that abuses kids...hung out to dry. With due process ofc.

Jussie was never proven guilty. the opinion of the DA means nothing. the opinion of the Jury is all that matters. unless, maybe, gosh could it be that "innocent until proven guilty" isn't inherently true? shocker.

Look. This news is only 10-ish hours old. Apparently there was some severe breach of procedure, in this case. This was just discovered late Tuesday (yesterday).

The State's Attorney that recused herself, was still texting the prosecutors after she recused herself. That's not legal.

I didn't ask the Cook County Inspector General Patrick Blanchard to investigate the office’s handling of the Smollett case. Someone higher up in Chicago govt. did.

/e You just happened to ask about Smollette at the same time I discovered this news. Don't kill the messenger. :)

firstly for the record Jussie is guilty as sin and should have all the books thrown at him.

but it sounds like the DA needs to face trial, where they'll find out if she's guilty of a crime, like she's being alleged of, with some evidence.

Yeah, I assume that's why the Cook County Inspector General Patrick Blanchard is investigating the office’s handling of the Smollett case.

but by the same token, if/when Foxx is not charged this will mean, applying the same logic you're using with DT, she's not guilty, and is innocent, because it's unproven.

they might still have evidence that she mishandled it, but not enough to raise criminal charges. like DT can't be charged for obstruction, despite some evidence.

The Chicago Mayor and the entire Chicago Police force seem to disagree.

Anyway...

Fight brews over expected blacked out portions of Mueller report

Barr, who has broad authority to decide how much of the report to release, has promised to be as transparent as possible, but told lawmakers he would redact four categories of content: secret grand jury information, intelligence-gathering sources and methods, information relating to active cases and information could affect the privacy of “peripheral third parties” who were not charged.

The redactions, to be color coded to reflect the reason they were omitted from the final report, have Democrats seeing red. They have expressed concern that Barr, a Trump appointee named after the president fired former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, could black out material to protect the president.

Seems weird that the supposed subpoenas haven't already been issued. Barr has stated that he would redact the report in the four areas mentioned, numerous times. Not just today.
