1k is not a half of it.
And Russia has a lot of old tanks in their reserves, probably another 4k or more in reserves somewhere in garages.
We dont know how many of these are ready to go battle, its all question marks.

Fortified and cut of supplies? Cut of ammo, petrol, food, waiting for Ukraine to shoot and bite them from all the sides?
